What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let the site remember things about your visit (such as keeping you signed in) so the service can work properly and securely.
How we use cookies
ColdEngine keeps its use of cookies deliberately minimal. We only use cookies that are necessary to run the service. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the platform to function. They include a first-party session cookie that keeps you logged in after you authenticate, and a security cookie that helps protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). Without these, you could not sign in or use your account securely.
Functional cookies
We may store small preferences (for example which workspace you last used, or whether a panel is collapsed) so the interface behaves the way you left it. These are first-party only and are not shared with anyone.
Analytics
Where we measure product usage to improve the service, we rely on privacy-respecting, first-party telemetry (page views, performance traces and errors). We do not build advertising profiles and we do not share this data with ad networks.
Payments
When you purchase a subscription, our payment processor Stripe may set cookies during checkout that are necessary to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. Those cookies are governed by the payment processor's own cookie and privacy policies.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to block them. Note that if you block strictly necessary cookies you will not be able to log in or use your account, as those cookies are essential to the service.
Changes
If we materially change how we use cookies, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent.
